Frame Feeder - for deep boxes (replaces 1 frame)

Regular price $9.99

Our large frame feeder holds over 1 gallon of feed!

It replaces one frame in a deep hive box, and has a nice cap-and-ladder system that minimizes drowning of bees by giving them a ladder to climb down and get to the syrup.

Unlike most other frame feeders, ours has 3 access holes (rather than 2), giving maximum bee access while minimizing drowning!

Another unique feature of our design is the ease in which it comes apart for cleaning. The locking tabs make it very easy to disassemble and reassemble the top cover.

Takes the space of 2 frames not 1

I added pictures for a previous review. The width of these feeders are 2 3/8" wide and frames are 1 3/8" so to describe them as a 1 frame replacement is incorrect. Notice the another review where they have a picture of only fitting 8 frames and the feeder in a 10 frame box.
I bought these specifically to be able to transfer 5 frames into an observation hive such as the one sold through Hillco, from a 5 frame nuc, to be able to take my bees to display. One of the frames had to be left out because I could only install 1 in the top/display area, 3 frames in the lower nuc area, once the feeder is in place. I purchased 4 and payed shipping and now they were a waste of money. I made extra observation hives and was going to include one of the feeders with each. I use top feeders in my apiary.
They also arrived very warped which makes it difficult to snap on the top and misaligns the center tube.
Just want everyone to keep this in mind.

NOT "1" FRAME REPLACEMENT

I don't like to post negative reviews but I bought these based on the description. I purchased them to be used in the 5 frame base of my observation hive. Once in place in the nuc, you can only fit 3 more frames and the spacing is too loose between the frames so the bees build comb. They also arrived vary warped inward so the tops are difficult to install and there is a raised line of plastic inside that doesn't allow the center tube to be installed correctly.
I'm sorry but I do not recommend, especially if you only want to replace 1 frame.

Frame feeder review

Middle ladder does not fit right because of the support ridges inside the feeder in that area that prevents the ladder from seating firmly into the top.
