Heated Uncapping Knife

Knife quit working already, maybe I’m doing something wrong with it. Got through about 20 supers then quit heating again. Love Hillco , this is my least favorite product, everything else is 5 stars from hillco, not this knife.

This heated uncapping knife is okay, but doesn't have a thermostat screw to regulate temperature. It works about as well as my old one that I was hoping to replace (which does have a temperature adjustment screw). But keep in mind that it was a low-cost knife, so I should temper my expectations. Definitely works better than an unheated knife.

I bought these items for my daughter for Christmas who just got into bee keeping friends of mine who bee hives recommended your company

Worked ok not as well as I had hoped. The knife actually has a bow to it so it would hit top and bottom of frame but would leave cappings in the middle. I’m running 10 frames so the bees didn’t draw them out fat. Maybe I’ll try 9 frames next year and see if that makes it easier to uncap
