This hive is brilliant! I purchased this hive for my wife to reignite her passion for beekeeping. She's absolutely loving it. We are currently running it in side by side colonies. The bees are definitely the proof of the quality of this product. They are strong, happy, and healthy! We've been interested in insulated hives for some time but couldn't chew the price. Well, John you've done it yet again! Brought a quality product at an unbeatable price! My only complaint is the dividers. They are a bit flimsy and brittle ive had 3 break the ears. 1 when it arrived and 2 before they were in action. Nothing a little hot glue couldn't repair. For the flimsyness, I purchased 1/4" H-channel which is too big but 1/8" is too small. So the fix is 1/4" hot glued to the bottom of the TOP box divider. This corrects the flimsyness and keeps the bees separated . The bees are able to regulate heat very well and build brood VERY QUICKLY! The frame hangers are a HUGE love for my wife. The latches for security are brilliant, and the clear feeders are amazing for both checking feed with out being bombarded by bees or even needing protection! Thank you John and the Hillco team for developing a superior product and the amazing service!
