Maxx Honey Storage & Bottling Tank - 18 Gallon
You'll love these new Maxx series honey storage/bottling tanks!
Made from quality 21 gauge, type 304 food grade stainless steel, these tanks are built to last and will look great in your honey house, kitchen, or bulk honey display.
The welded stainless honey gate works really smoothly, with easy operation and clean shut-off.
Just like our Maxx series honey extractors, these tanks feature a sloping floor, directing your honey effortlessly towards the honey gate and into your container. Minimal tipping, mess, or fuss, just the way it should be!
The Maxx honey tanks include strainers to filter your honey down to around 600 microns, perfect for bottling. There's a coarse strainer and a fine strainer. So you can pour unfiltered honey into the tank, and filtered honey comes out the bottom. Perfect!
The tank features 3 latches to securely hold the lid in place with a tight seal (the latches don't work when the strainers are in place). It also includes two sturdy handles for easy transport.
Approximate dimensions (with both strainers) is 35" tall and 17" diameter.
Includes a 3 year warranty.
In order to connect the dripless valve to the tank the purchase of an adapter is necessary. We now have the flange to tri-clamp adapter available for sale.

Oh my gosh. This was an outstanding buy for my honey operation. The large capacity tank fits on a plant roller that I found in my greenhouse for easy placement within my crowded honey house and the huge filter surfaces (much larger in diameter than a 5-gallon bucket filter system ) drained my entire extracted honey crop without getting plugged with wax. This cut my honey filtering time down from 5 days to 1 day. I am so happy to have time back to take apart my extractor for cleaning and maintenance. Shipping of the tank was speedy and free. The tank came double boxed to withstand fat-fisted handling during transport and the spring-lock (spring goes on the left) honey gate fitting is leak-proof. The design features of this tank are designed for efficiency and are matched to the needed functionality. These include a lid that buckle-clamps onto the tank; extra large capacity sturdy metal coarse (1500 micron) and fine (600 micron) filters, and a cone-shaped bottom with low-set honey gate above a false bottom for clearance above the floor. This is my 3rd satisfactory HillCo purchase. I also love their solar wax melter and uncapping tank. All 3 are must haves for my honey house. I highly recommend all 3 HillCo products.
It’s great. I originally bought one but had to have another!
The 18 gallon Maxx Bottling tank is beautifully designed and built. It works and drains exactly as described, the finish is bright and clean. There were a few burrs where the skirt is tack welded to the tank, but they are minor and easily removed.
Was very pleased the tank suffered no travel injuries! However I was a bit surprised that the lid came without a sealing gasket and no nob for the lid , ended up making a gasket and ordered a lid knob from Amazon . Also concerned about replacement gaskets for the spigot .
Just processed my honey for the year using this tank and it is a time saver. No more choke points at the extractor because the double sieve got clogged up with wax and having to pause to clean it out every 20 minutes. Just extract directly into a bucket and pour into the tank as it goes through, at your leisure. I would recommend buying a stainless steel pail perch to hold the bucket and drain the last of the honey out. Excellent product.
