Solar Wax Melter

Update: upon learning some tips from the Hillco staffer I can now report that with the change of usage such as shimming the melter a bit to make use of the lower sun angle, I now see that the melter is working much more efficient. Additionally using the solar melter in the colder months will take a bit longer to see results.

After reading great reviews,I bought one but I'm a bit disappointed. It has good capacity but it seems that you have to put in a small amount of cappings to see it melt the wax and see any honey drop out. I put in enough cappings to fill it but it's taking days to see results. I thought this melter would save time vs melting in my oven but nowI think it will take less time to melt in the oven.
