This really nice hive stand is just the ticket for keeping your hives off the ground. Completely made of stainless steel, it will last a lifetime and looks nice as well!
It is adjustable to fit either 8 frame or 10 frame hives, and raises the hive about 8-3/4" off the ground.

Michael Pucci Decent idea, I guess, but this execution is flawed. Countersunk holes are too uneven leaving some screw heads up and others at the right depth. It JUST fits a 10 frame - make sure your bottom board isn't even a SMIDGE wide. Material looks durable - it's strong - and the welding looks pretty decent. Locking washers would have been nice as well as a crossbar or two. Lol - too heavy and cumbersome to ship back!

Laurence Nevils I would like to revise my prior review of this hive stand. I believe my comments may have been a bit premature:
After using the stand for a little while longer, as it turns out, it actually works pretty good. Yes, it is a little wobbly but if you use it on a firm foundation, it works just fine.
Also, the price of this hive stand is about half that of other hive stands, so you can't beat the value.
Hilco is a really good company and I appreciate their efforts to provide great products at a good price.

Laurence Nevils I love Hilco but I'm afraid they let me down a bit with this hive stand. I purchased two because the looked like the were well built but I was wrong. They wobble because they lack cross members on the legs. I believe I can make this modification on my own but beware of the problem before you buy them.

I respectfully disagree with your assessment. We have tested these hive stands with a lot of weight and particularly top-heavy. Any commercially available hive stand will have some very slight wobble with a top heavy load, and like most other hive stands, they're not designed for hives with more than 6 boxes stacked. We've sold hundreds of these and have heard no other complaints.
